==Controverse==<br />

La controverse principale de la carrière de Meunier prend sa source en 2013, lors de son passage des Tigres Rouges aux Kompers. Selon le président Tygrois James, le KVZ Hament, alors club de division 2 et disposant de gros moyens, prend directement contact avec le joueur alors toujours sous contrat au début 2013. La direction du club de Zotterveld propose au joueur d'utiliser la loi 78 du code civil simtopien afin de casser unilatéralement son contrat pour pouvoir passer gratuitement d'un club à l'autre. Une manière de procéder qui contrevient de manière flagrante à l'accord passé entre les clubs de la ligue professionnelle qui proscrit l'utilisation de cette loi.<br />

En juin 2013, Meunier, alors grand espoir tygrois, casse effectivement son contrat et rejoint le KVZH. Les Tygrois sont outrés mais se débattent avec d'autres problèmes financiers qui entraîneront par la suite l'exclusion du Standard de la FSF. <br />

Il revient en 2019 sur cette période délicate de sa vie en déclarant à la presse légeoise que son choix avait été dicté par sa volonté de jouer et de ne pas rester inactif alors que le Standard allait être déclaré en faillite quelques semaines plus tard. <br />
